Ernie Fossa

Studio Founder, Owner and Certification School Program Director

Ernie has been a leading educator of the Pilates Method of Exercise since 2004 and has trained and hundreds of Pilates students to become Certified Pilates Teachers. Several of his students have opened up their very own Pilates studios both in the US and abroad. In 2014, he created the Gramercy Pilates NYC Teacher Training Certification School Program. The Program provides students an integrated approach to anatomy, biomechanics and movement in mind. This integrated approach has facilitated the learning process for prospective Pilates teachers and allowed them to focus more on the science behind how and why the Pilates method of exercise really works. The Gramercy Pilates NYC Certification Program teaches the classical choreography foundation with a contemporary approach and educates students how to teach all types of clients, including those with medical conditions and physical restrictions. Ernie received his Comprehensive Pilates Certification in 2005. He’s also Certified to teach the Gyrotonic Tower Expansion System, Jumping and Stretching Board and the Core Align. Ernie has taught many professional athletes and created many Pilates workshops on Advanced Pilates Reformer, Cadillac, Chiar, Barrel and Small Props Choreography focusing on correct biomechanics while offering an abundance of movement progressions and modifications.
