What You Really Need To Know!

First, did you know that Pilates is not a regulated industry?

The Pilates profession, as well as the greater fitness and exercise industry at large, is an unregulated industry within the United States as well as many countries throughout the world. Therefore, it’s very important that you research, review, and personally interview studios and schools before making a decision on what Certification Program is best for you.

Every studio that offers a Pilates Teacher Training Program is very, very different. Therefore, there is no “National” or “Internationally” Certified or Recognized Certification.

What is important is the education you receive from the studio that offers Pilates Teacher Training. This is what will determine your skill level and success as a Pilates Teacher. So the more education you receive, the better the Pilates teacher you will be. And the interview and audition you do at a studio will determine whether or not you will be hired. Not a piece of paper that says you’re “Certified”.

Transparency is Critical!

NEVER register and pay in full or a deposit for any type of Certification Program online!

NEVER make a decision on a Certification Program until you meet the Studio Director in the studio and they show you their entire Certification Teacher Training Manuals. You need to know exactly the type of education they offer!

Ask about their cancellation and refund policy.

You should be given at least one year to complete both the Mat and Equipment Teacher Training Program.

You should be supervised by a teacher trainer when you are doing your practice teaching hours.

Ask about the type of tests you will need to pass, (written, practical, etc.)

If you’d like to discuss your future as a Certified Pilates Teacher, feel free to contact us and set up a meeting with our Program Director.
